Wounded tigers

The third test match between India and Pakistan will start tomorrow. The injury worries are no longer confined only to Pakistanis, even the Indian camp is having the same trouble now. In-form Mahindra Singh Dhoni, Zaheer khan, Munaf Patel, RP singh and Sreeshanth will miss tomorrow's test. Even Sachin Tendulkar is a doubtful starter. The decision regarding his fitness will be taken only on Saturday morning. Yuvraj Singh is likely to replace Dhoni. Bowlers like VRV singh, Ishanth Sharma and P Patel have been called for. The squad for the third test will feature the third spinner, Murali Karthick. Kumble must hope that the track supports spin bowling more than anything else.
The test captain for Australia's tour is also Anil Kumble. The squad for Australia will be announced only on December 12, due to fitness concerns in the squad. It is unfortunate that Virendar Sehwag didn't make it into the list of 24 probables. The pace battery should recover before the Australian tour because in Australia all the tracks are bouncy and will support pace bowling rather than Spinners. Australians are in top form and are set to beat their own record for most number of consecutive test wins. The Indians heavily rely on the Big four and its Pace factory. Younger lot should shoulder some responsibility and should get accustomed to the new conditions very quickly.
